Method

For the lemon chicken casserole

1. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper. Sauté in olive oil in a saucepan, over high heat, until golden-brown.

2. Add all the COOK at HOME cooking sauce, about 1 cup of water (300ml) and stir well.

3. Cook the chicken in a covered pot, over medium heat for about 45 minutes, until tender. During cooking check if any additional water is needed.

For the bratkartoffeln potatoes

1. In a large frying pan, add a little butter and sauté the chopped onion, the bacon and the garlic. Then, add the remaining butter and the boiled potatoes, season with salt and pepper and continue sautéing over high heat until the potatoes get golden and crispy.

2. Remove from heat, add the paprika and thyme and sprinkle with the chopped onion.

3. Serve 3-4 chicken drumsticks on a plate, garnish with potatoes and pour over the lemon sauce.

Ingredients

For the lemon chicken casserole

• 1,5kg chicken drumsticks

1 COOK at HOME cooking sauce for
chicken lemon casserole

• 40ml olive oil (~ 2,5 tbsp.)

• 300ml water (~ 1 cup)

• Salt – pepper

For the bratkartoffeln potatoes

• 700g boiled potatoes cut in large cubes

• 70g butter

• 100g smoked bacon
• 1 big onion
• 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1g smoked paprika
• 2 tbsp. fresh thyme
• 2 tbsp. spring onion finely chopped
• Salt – pepper

Tip: For an exotic flavour, add freshly grated ginger while cooking.
